What is Domestic Violence?

  Domestic violence is a form of controlling, coercive behavior that is a common risk to the lives of everyone in our society regardless of age, gender or sexual orientation or race, ethnicity, religious beliefs, social status and the status of immigrants. The word "love" does not mean abuse.   It's an of the people in relationships that has control and power over the other. Domestic violence can take various forms: physical; emotional, financial; stalking and harassment, as well as sexual.
